      <p>We received last night the Paris Papers of Saturday, from<lb/>which we have given extracts in another column.</p>
      <lb/>
      <p>The <hi rendition="#i">Journal des Debats</hi> has copied from the <hi rendition="#i"
        >Revue Protes-<lb/>tante</hi> an interesting letter from <hi rendition="#k"
          >Humboldt,</hi> the celebrated tra-<lb/>veller, to M. <hi rendition="#k"
            >Ch. Coquerel,</hi> Pastor, at Amsterdam, on the<lb/>proportion which the Catholics
        and Protestants of America<lb/>bear to each other, on the different races in
        America, and the<lb/>languages spoken in that continent. The details are to be
        given<lb/>in the third volume of his <hi rendition="#i">Travels to the Equinoctial
          Regions,</hi>
        <lb/>which is about to appear.</p>
